This picture was taken on captree Island that we visited one winter morning. We were expecting that we'll be able to see some interesting birds in the dense reeds but except for one lonely great blue heron we did not see any interesting species. However the marshes looked amazing with the orange reeds contrasting with blue sky and the water. It was cold but windless and the island was bathing in the red morning light. There was something magic in this place resembling northern landscapes of boggy tundra Luckily I had my wide angle with me so I could take several pictures of this marvelous place.
